Applications are now CLOSED for our Fall 2024/2025 Session
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. Please consider paying our new reduced tuition cost for our program this year.
TULA yoga is committed to doing our part in making our studio and the entire Chicago yoga community more inclusive and accessible to indigenous and people of color. We are very proud to announce our TULA Yoga Teacher Training Scholarship program for self-identified BIPOC who are interested in becoming yoga instructors.
We acknowledge a gross under-representation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) in the yoga world, but we are committed to changing this.
We believe one main key in making yoga accessible to all is by encouraging not only body diversity, but also diversity in race & ethnicity, in teachers and studio owners.
In order to eliminate some of the barriers around certification, we've developed a partial scholarship (discount of 50%) for prospective people of color with a commitment to the journey of yoga. This is not a typical 'need' based scholarship and students are responsible for paying their share of the costs ($1150+ cost of required books), so no financial questions will be asked.
We only have ONE scholarship available for our Fall 2024/2025 Session AND will be only be accepting 5 applications.
Requirements for Application:
Self-identify as a person of color
Have a consistent yoga practice
Be able to attend all the dates of the training
Be committed to teaching yoga after completing the training
